Primary Cover Teacher – Part-time opportunity with flexible hours until 2026.

The Opportunity:

A Primary Cover Teacher is needed to support teaching and learning across the primary phase, ensuring continuity of education when regular teachers are unavailable. This role offers the chance to work with pupils from EYFS to Year 6, delivering engaging lessons and contributing to a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across a range of subjects and age groups.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports pupil learning and behaviour.
  • Work closely with teaching teams to ensure consistency and support curriculum delivery.
  • Adapt quickly to different classes and year groups, maintaining high standards of teaching.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to support student progress.
  • Contribute to the academic and personal development of all pupils.
  • Support the school’s vision that “Every Child Achieves” through inclusive and effective teaching practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching across the primary age range (EYFS to Year 6).
  • Secure understanding of the primary curriculum and effective classroom practice.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and high expectations for all pupils.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across different year groups and classes.
  • Experience in a values-driven, collaborative school environment.
