The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Primary EAL and Learning Support Teacher to join a forward-thinking team that prioritizes student well-being and academic growth. This role is central to delivering targeted support and innovative teaching strategies for students with SEND and EAL needs, ensuring every child reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement adaptive teaching strategies tailored to the needs of students with SEND and EAL backgrounds.
  • Deliver a rigorous, skills-based thematic curriculum that fosters curiosity, engagement, and academic challenge.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the social-emotional development and well-being of all students.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and adjusting teaching methods accordingly.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school’s educational programs.
  • Support the school’s commitment to sustainability and global awareness through curriculum and extra-curricular activities.
  • Engage in student-led initiatives and promote a culture of bravery, ambition, and leadership.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in EAL and Learning Support.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and collaboratively with students and colleagues.
  • Strong commitment to student well-being and social-emotional development.
  • Experience in delivering a thematic, skills-based curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs.

Preferred

  • Experience with SEND support and inclusion strategies.
  • Familiarity with international curricula such as IGCSE or BTEC.
  • Experience in sustainability education or global awareness initiatives.
  • Background in developing leadership and personal growth programs for students.
  • Experience with Forest School or outdoor learning environments.
