Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement adaptive teaching strategies tailored to the needs of students with SEND and EAL backgrounds.
- Deliver a rigorous, skills-based thematic curriculum that fosters curiosity, engagement, and academic challenge.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the social-emotional development and well-being of all students.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and adjusting teaching methods accordingly.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school’s educational programs.
- Support the school’s commitment to sustainability and global awareness through curriculum and extra-curricular activities.
- Engage in student-led initiatives and promote a culture of bravery, ambition, and leadership.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in EAL and Learning Support.
- Proven ability to work creatively and collaboratively with students and colleagues.
- Strong commitment to student well-being and social-emotional development.
- Experience in delivering a thematic, skills-based curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs.
Preferred
- Experience with SEND support and inclusion strategies.
- Familiarity with international curricula such as IGCSE or BTEC.
- Experience in sustainability education or global awareness initiatives.
- Background in developing leadership and personal growth programs for students.
- Experience with Forest School or outdoor learning environments.
