Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development of international-mindedness and learner attributes within the curriculum
- Foster a stimulating and respectful learning environment
- Ensure student safety and wellbeing by greeting and assessing pupils daily
- Monitor and manage student behavior during lunch and canteen times
- Assist in addressing medical concerns by ensuring timely access to the school nurse
- Maintain clear communication with parents, colleagues, and the wider school community
- Update and maintain records using the ISAMS electronic system
- Publish written records and portfolios showing student progress
- Communicate with parents through face-to-face meetings and parent-teacher conferences
- Plan and deliver effective, engaging lessons aligned with IPC standards
- Differentiate instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles
- Use technology and ICT skills to enhance learning experiences
- Promote student reflection and independent thinking through varied teaching strategies
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Valid teaching certificate in the relevant subject and school level
- At least two years of experience in international education
- Experience teaching the IPC curriculum
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure or equivalent
- Compliance with visa requirements for working in China
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection training
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
- Familiarity with bilingual education programs
- Strong cross-cultural and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent analytical and time management skills
