Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality music instruction aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Swiss Baccalaureate curriculum.
- Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate music lessons that foster creativity, critical thinking, and performance skills.
- Collaborate with other teachers to integrate music across the curriculum and support cross-disciplinary learning.
- Promote a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and expression.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning goals.
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating learning environment for students.
- Stay current with music education trends and incorporate innovative teaching methods and technologies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in music education or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the primary level.
- Strong knowledge of the IB PYP and Swiss Baccalaureate curricula.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
Preferred
- Experience teaching in an international or multilingual setting.
- Familiarity with bilingual education and multilingual environments.
- Experience with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) integration in music education.
- Proficiency in multiple languages, including English, French, and/or German.
- Experience with digital tools and educational technology in the classroom.
