Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality music instruction aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Swiss Baccalaureate curriculum.
  • Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate music lessons that foster creativity, critical thinking, and performance skills.
  • Collaborate with other teachers to integrate music across the curriculum and support cross-disciplinary learning.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and expression.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning goals.
  • Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating learning environment for students.
  • Stay current with music education trends and incorporate innovative teaching methods and technologies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in music education or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the primary level.
  • Strong knowledge of the IB PYP and Swiss Baccalaureate curricula.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching in an international or multilingual setting.
  • Familiarity with bilingual education and multilingual environments.
  • Experience with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) integration in music education.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages, including English, French, and/or German.
  • Experience with digital tools and educational technology in the classroom.
