The Opportunity:

As a Primary Music Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality music education across the Primary School. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire young learners and contribute to a vibrant extra-curricular programme that includes performances both in and out of school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Music across the Primary School in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage and English National Curriculum
  • Deliver inquiry-based learning experiences that promote creativity and critical thinking in music
  • Lead and facilitate brass instrument sessions, encouraging student participation and ensemble development
  • Support the school's extra-curricular and performance activities, including in-school and external events
  • Facilitate regular wellbeing sessions to support student mental health and emotional development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of music education through professional development and innovation
  • Maintain high standards of teaching and learning, aligned with the school’s mission and values

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A track record of exceptional teaching experience
  • Ability to teach across the Primary age group
  • Strong subject knowledge in Music
  • Enthusiasm and motivation for exemplary teaching and learning
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in teaching

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching inquiry-based learning
  • Experience with extra-curricular music programmes
  • Experience with wellbeing initiatives in an educational setting
  • Experience with teaching brass instruments or ensemble development
