As a Primary PE and Swimming Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering an innovative and inspiring physical education curriculum that promotes student well-being, confidence, and lifelong physical literacy. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver a rigorous, skills-based PE and Swimming curriculum tailored to the needs of students.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that supports the social-emotional and physical development of all children.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school to integrate physical education with other areas of the curriculum.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote student participation, confidence, and well-being through sport and swimming.
  • Support the school’s commitment to sustainability and global mindedness through curriculum planning and student engagement.
  • Work closely with parents and the wider school community to enhance student experiences and outcomes.
  • Participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and contribute to the ongoing development of the school’s physical education program.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and recognized teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience in teaching PE and Swimming at the primary level.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated commitment to student well-being, social-emotional development, and holistic education.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and creatively in a dynamic, international school environment.
  • Experience in delivering a thematic, skills-based curriculum with a focus on engagement and challenge.

Preferred

  • Experience with international curricula such as IGCSE or the National Curriculum.
  • Knowledge of sustainable education practices and global citizenship initiatives.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to extracurricular sporting or wellness programs.
  • Familiarity with the use of technology in physical education and swimming instruction.
  • Experience with developing and implementing student leadership and wellbeing programs.
