Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive physical education lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and pedagogical standards.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation, physical development, and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s pastoral care and well-being initiatives.
  • Contribute to the co-curricular programme, including sports and other extracurricular activities.
  • Reflect on and improve teaching practices through ongoing professional development and collaboration.
  • Support students with diverse learning needs, ensuring all learners are challenged and supported.
  • Participate in school events and community activities that enhance student engagement and school culture.
  • Maintain accurate records and assess student progress in line with school policies and standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a strong background in Primary Physical Education.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of child development and learning across physical, social, emotional, and intellectual domains.
  • Experience in delivering curriculum-based lessons and fostering student engagement.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and supporting diverse learners.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred

  • Sports coaching qualifications or experience in sports leadership.
  • Experience in co-curricular programme delivery or student well-being initiatives.
  • Familiarity with international curricula such as the International Primary Curriculum or National Curriculum for England.
  • Experience working in an international school setting.
