The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Primary School French Teacher to join our growing Modern Foreign Language department. This role offers the chance to shape young minds and contribute to a vibrant, forward-thinking educational environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach Key Stage 2 and potentially Key Stage 3 classes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality French lessons in line with the National Curriculum of England and Wales.
  • Develop engaging and interactive teaching materials tailored to the needs of Primary learners.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated instruction and formative assessment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Modern Foreign Language department’s impact and effectiveness.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and training opportunities.
  • Contribute to the pastoral care of students through form tutoring and other support roles.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and language acquisition.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching French in Key Stage 2.
  • Fluent in both French and English with a strong grasp of grammar and language usage.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the National Curriculum of England and Wales Modern Foreign Language framework.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.

Preferred

  • Experience with form tutoring.
  • Background in continuous professional development and ECT support.
  • Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate or Cambridge International Examinations curriculum.
