Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage student learning and safeguarding, ensuring a safe and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Use varied assessments and differentiation strategies to support student progress and achievement.
  • Maintain accurate records of student work and provide regular feedback to parents through formal and informal meetings.
  • Demonstrate inquiry-based learning and concept-based instruction aligned with the IB curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in planning, reflecting, and implementing the IB program of study.
  • Support students' physical, mental, and emotional well-being and promote IB attitudes and learner profile attributes.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
  • Develop and implement resources that enhance classroom instruction and student engagement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE / QTS / Teaching Licence).
  • Experience in an international IB school setting with knowledge of the IB curriculum.
  • Experience in primary education and concept-based inquiry teaching.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to student learning, safeguarding, and well-being.

Preferred

  • PYP training.
  • Experience in an international school setting.
  • Fluency in a second language, such as French or German.
