Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor student progress through varied assessments and continuous feedback.
  • Foster an environment that encourages inquiry learning and concept-based instruction.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date records of student work and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Communicate regularly with parents through meetings, reports, and conferences.
  • Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and supervision of students during all school activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in planning and delivering the IB curriculum and school events.
  • Promote the IB Learner Profile attributes and support student emotional and social development.
  • Create a stimulating classroom environment and develop supplementary resources for instruction.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
  • A teaching qualification (PGCE / QTS / Teaching Licence).
  • Experience in an international IB school setting with knowledge of the IB Curriculum.
  • Prior experience in Primary School teaching with a focus on inquiry-based learning.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Commitment to student learning, wellbeing, and safeguarding.

Preferred

  • PYP training or experience.
  • Experience in an international school environment.
  • Fluency in a second language, such as French.
