Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students’ emotional and social development through a trauma-informed approach.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing targeted feedback and interventions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and share best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support student learning and wellbeing.
  • Participate in school-wide events and initiatives that promote student engagement and school culture.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Stay up to date with current educational research and best practices in teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in primary education.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • A commitment to a trauma-informed approach and student wellbeing.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Experience in planning and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with diverse needs, including those with complex emotional or behavioural challenges.
  • Knowledge of child development and wellbeing strategies.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
  • Experience in a school that follows a similar mission or values.
