The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a motivated Primary School Teaching Assistant to join its Junior School team. This role supports Class Teachers in creating a stimulating and safe learning environment for pupils aged 6-11. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education and committed to the academic and personal development of young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Class Teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
- Assist with classroom management and the smooth running of daily school activities
- Work with individual pupils or small groups to enhance learning outcomes
- Create a secure, happy, and stimulating classroom environment
- Collaborate closely with teachers and other staff to ensure a consistent approach to student support
- Contribute to the planning and organisation of school-wide events and activities
- Maintain accurate records and support administrative tasks as required
- Ensure the implementation of safeguarding and confidentiality policies
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant work experience in a teaching or child-focused role
- University degree or teaching qualification in Primary School or Early Childhood Education
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good humour and a positive, approachable attitude
Preferred
- Experience in an international school setting
- Familiarity with the British curriculum
- Experience working with children aged 3-11 in an educational environment
- Knowledge of the British educational system
