The Opportunity:

A Primary SEND Teacher is sought to provide high-quality, differentiated instruction and support for students with additional needs. This role is ideal for a passionate educator with experience in primary education, particularly in upper Key Stage 2 and SATs preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to learners with a range of additional needs.
Apply expert knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and SATs frameworks to support learners working at or below age-related expectations.
Design and lead targeted interventions in core subjects, particularly English and Maths.
Plan for small groups or individual learners, adapting resources and approaches as needed.
Track progress using formative and summative assessment to inform teaching and learning.
Promote a positive, inclusive ethos across the school community.
Contribute to staff development and SEND/inclusion CPD.
Safeguard the wellbeing of all students in accordance with school policy.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

Qualified teacher with experience in primary education.
Strong background in SEND support and inclusion strategies.
Experience in teaching upper Key Stage 2 and SATs preparation.
Ability to design and deliver targeted interventions in English and Maths.
Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.

Preferred

Experience in leading or supporting SENCO responsibilities.
Familiarity with a range of teaching methodologies and resources for diverse learners.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with colleagues, families, and external partners.
