The Opportunity:
A Primary SEND Teacher is sought to provide high-quality, differentiated instruction and support for students with additional needs. This role is ideal for a passionate educator with experience in primary education, particularly in upper Key Stage 2 and SATs preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to learners with a range of additional needs.
- Apply expert knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and SATs frameworks to support learners working at or below age-related expectations.
- Design and lead targeted interventions in core subjects, particularly English and Maths.
- Plan for small groups or individual learners, adapting resources and approaches as needed.
- Track progress using formative and summative assessment to inform teaching and learning.
- Promote a positive, inclusive ethos across the school community.
- Contribute to staff development and SEND/inclusion CPD.
- Safeguard the wellbeing of all students in accordance with school policy.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in primary education.
- Strong background in SEND support and inclusion strategies.
- Experience in teaching upper Key Stage 2 and SATs preparation.
- Ability to design and deliver targeted interventions in English and Maths.
- Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or supporting SENCO responsibilities.
- Familiarity with a range of teaching methodologies and resources for diverse learners.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with colleagues, families, and external partners.
