The Opportunity:

As a Primary Teacher Cycle 1/Cycle 2, you will be responsible for delivering a dynamic, child-centered, and bilingual curriculum in a 50:50 model. You will work closely with your English-speaking partner teacher to create a cohesive and engaging learning environment, supporting students in both languages and fostering their academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a creative, flexible, and differentiated bilingual curriculum aligned with Swiss Lehrplan 21 and international curricula.
  • Support student learning by planning diverse and inclusive learning experiences that cater to different abilities and language levels.
  • Collaborate closely with your English-speaking partner teacher to ensure a seamless and enriching bilingual learning experience.
  • Document and assess student progress effectively, maintaining clear and transparent communication with parents.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and self-confidence.
  • Participate actively in school projects, professional development, and collaborative teaching initiatives.
  • Engage in continuous reflection and improvement of teaching practices to enhance student outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative, student-centered learning approaches.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent German language skills at native or equivalent level.
  • Experience in primary education, ideally in an international or bilingual setting.
  • Strong communication skills with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to plan and deliver creative, flexible, and differentiated lessons.
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment.
  • Willingness to work closely with an English-speaking partner teacher.

Preferred

  • Experience with bilingual education and international curricula.
  • Familiarity with innovative, student-centered learning approaches.
  • Background in teaching English as a second language.
  • Previous experience in a multicultural and bilingual school environment.
