Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to Year 1 students in line with the International Primary Curriculum.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote student achievement and a love of learning.
- Act as a form tutor, supporting the personal and academic development of students.
- Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development sessions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and positive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents.
- Stay up to date with educational trends and continuously improve teaching practices.
- Support the school’s mission to foster confidence, independence, and resilience in students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a recognized teaching qualification (TEFL/CELTA not accepted).
- Proven experience in teaching primary-aged children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence with technology and a willingness to integrate it into teaching.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage a busy classroom.
- Commitment to student welfare and a positive, inclusive school culture.
Preferred
- Experience in an international school setting.
- Familiarity with the English National Curriculum or International Primary Curriculum.
- Experience in leading or contributing to extracurricular activities.
- Experience with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
