Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to Year 1 students in line with the International Primary Curriculum.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote student achievement and a love of learning.
  • Act as a form tutor, supporting the personal and academic development of students.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development sessions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and positive learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents.
  • Stay up to date with educational trends and continuously improve teaching practices.
  • Support the school’s mission to foster confidence, independence, and resilience in students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a recognized teaching qualification (TEFL/CELTA not accepted).
  • Proven experience in teaching primary-aged children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence with technology and a willingness to integrate it into teaching.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage a busy classroom.
  • Commitment to student welfare and a positive, inclusive school culture.

Preferred

  • Experience in an international school setting.
  • Familiarity with the English National Curriculum or International Primary Curriculum.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to extracurricular activities.
  • Experience with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
