The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in English using internationally inspired curricula.
  • Support the academic progress of young learners in a bilingual, immersive environment.
  • Collaborate with a small team to develop and implement innovative teaching practices.
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively, providing detailed feedback and reports.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of the school’s curriculum and extracurricular activities.
  • Utilise modern technology, including whiteboards and iPads, to enhance student learning.
  • Work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages curiosity and creativity.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Teaching qualification or certificate (QTS) in Primary Education.
  • Strong classroom management and teaching skills with a focus on differentiation.
  • Experience teaching young children (KS1/2) is an advantage but not essential.
  • Commitment to curriculum development and innovation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in IT, including the use of whiteboard and iPad technology.
  • Willingness to learn basic German while living in Germany.

Preferred

  • Experience working in an international or bilingual school setting.
  • Familiarity with the German Lower Saxony curriculum.
  • Previous experience in extracurricular activities or leadership roles.
  • Fluency in German or a willingness to learn the language quickly.
