Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that support pupil progress and curriculum coverage.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and achievement.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to support a positive classroom culture.
  • Participate in staff development and training opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
  • Support the wider life of the school by contributing to extracurricular activities and pastoral care.
  • Ensure the teaching area is safe, well-organised, and conducive to learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Graduate degree and qualified teacher status.
  • Successful initial teacher training and proven academic track record.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and statutory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in a Catholic school environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Experience in developing and delivering innovative teaching strategies.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
