The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme.
  • Plan and prepare high-quality, curriculum-focused teaching resources.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support continuous professional development.
  • Support the school’s mission through active involvement in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
  • Promote a culture of respect, safety, and well-being among students and staff.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide initiatives and policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in teaching within the PYP framework.
  • Strong knowledge of the IB Primary Years Programme and its pedagogical principles.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Fluent in English; native speaker or equivalent proficiency.

Preferred

  • Experience with international curricula or teaching in a multicultural setting.
  • Familiarity with Cambridge IGCSE or other international qualifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Interest in outdoor learning and experiential education.
  • Willingness to live and work in Italy.
