The Opportunity:

As a Primary Years Programme Coordinator, you will play a key role in shaping the educational experience of young learners. This position offers the opportunity to lead and inspire in a dynamic, international school setting, with a strong focus on the IB Primary Years Programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the implementation of the IB Primary Years Programme across the school.
  • Coordinate and support the professional development of teaching staff through in-house training and leadership initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality learning experiences aligned with IB standards and learner-centred strategies.
  • Ensure consistently high standards of teaching and learning across all primary year groups.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a cohesive and innovative pedagogical approach.
  • Facilitate communication between teachers, parents, and senior leadership to support student progress.
  • Support the development of curriculum and assessment strategies that align with IB frameworks.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive school culture that encourages student engagement and well-being.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant subject area
  • Minimum five years of teaching experience post-QTS, with a focus on PYP environments
  • In-depth knowledge of the IB Primary, Middle, and Diploma Programmes
  • Excellent communication, teaching, and presentation skills
  • Strong IT skills
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire colleagues

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and leadership roles
  • Experience with in-house training and professional development
  • Experience with international education settings
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL/TEFL)
