The Opportunity:
As a Primary Years Programme Coordinator, you will play a key role in shaping the educational experience of young learners. This position offers the opportunity to lead and inspire in a dynamic, international school setting, with a strong focus on the IB Primary Years Programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the implementation of the IB Primary Years Programme across the school.
- Coordinate and support the professional development of teaching staff through in-house training and leadership initiatives.
- Develop and deliver high-quality learning experiences aligned with IB standards and learner-centred strategies.
- Ensure consistently high standards of teaching and learning across all primary year groups.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a cohesive and innovative pedagogical approach.
- Facilitate communication between teachers, parents, and senior leadership to support student progress.
- Support the development of curriculum and assessment strategies that align with IB frameworks.
- Promote a positive and inclusive school culture that encourages student engagement and well-being.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Degree-level qualification in a relevant subject area
- Minimum five years of teaching experience post-QTS, with a focus on PYP environments
- In-depth knowledge of the IB Primary, Middle, and Diploma Programmes
- Excellent communication, teaching, and presentation skills
- Strong IT skills
- Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire colleagues
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development and leadership roles
- Experience with in-house training and professional development
- Experience with international education settings
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL/TEFL)
