The Opportunity:

As Principal, you will lead a newly established school in Kuala Lumpur, shaping its future and contributing to the delivery of Cambridge A Level Programmes to students from around the world. This is a pivotal role for a school poised for significant expansion and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the strategic development of the school, ensuring alignment with British academic standards and the school’s vision.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including parents, students, staff, and external partners.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and initiatives to support academic excellence and student well-being.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive school culture that promotes innovation, professional growth, and high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance management of teaching and support staff.
  • Ensure the school meets all regulatory and accreditation requirements, maintaining a high standard of governance.
  • Represent the school in the community and at events, promoting its mission and values.
  • Monitor and evaluate the school’s performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as a Principal or senior leader in an international school setting.
  • Strong strategic leadership and management capabilities with a track record of success.
  • In-depth knowledge of British international education and Cambridge A Level Programmes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • High levels of cultural sensitivity and adaptability in a diverse, international environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire staff, students, and parents.

Preferred

  • Experience in school development or expansion projects.
  • Familiarity with international accreditation standards and processes.
  • Experience with curriculum design and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of educational leadership frameworks and best practices.
  • Experience in leading schools in Asia or other international locations.
