The Opportunity:

As Principal, you will lead a dynamic school and drive its continued success. This role offers the chance to shape a culture of excellence, improve student outcomes, and implement best practices in education. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader committed to raising standards and supporting disadvantaged students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the school with a clear vision, ensuring alignment with the Trust’s educational philosophy.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes and behaviour.
  • Oversee the delivery of a rigorous, knowledge-rich curriculum that supports all students.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with staff, students, families, and the local community.
  • Foster a positive school culture based on high standards, consistency, and a 'warm/strict' approach to behaviour.
  • Ensure the effective operation of the school’s sixth form and extracurricular programs, including the Basketball Academy.
  • Support the professional development of staff and promote a collaborative, high-performing leadership team.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a school or multi-academy trust.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve student outcomes, particularly for disadvantaged pupils.
  • Strong understanding of the 'warm/strict' model and its application to school culture and behaviour.
  • Commitment to the Trust’s educational philosophy and the consistent implementation of its frameworks.
  • Experience in leading a large, complex school with a diverse student body.

Preferred

  • Experience in managing a sixth form or extracurricular programs such as a sports academy.
  • Familiarity with the use of family dining and other community engagement strategies.
  • Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation in a knowledge-rich, academically rigorous environment.
