Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare kitchens, equipment, and ingredients for practical lessons
- Maintain a safe, clean, and fully operational working environment
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, food hygiene, and risk assessment standards
- Manage stock control, ordering, storage, and rotation of ingredients and equipment
- Support learners during practical sessions where appropriate
- Maintain equipment and liaise with contractors when required
- Contribute to department organisation, displays, and enrichment activities
- Manage orders and ensure timely delivery of supplies
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong understanding of professional kitchen environments
- Experience of food safety procedures
- Ability to work in a team and support learners
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety
Preferred
- Food Safety qualification or willingness to obtain one
- Experience in hospitality, catering, education, or a similar technical support role
- Experience with managing stock and inventory systems
