The Opportunity:
As a PSHE Lead, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality PSHE education across Key Stages 2 to 4, supporting pupils' personal development and readiness for life beyond school. You will lead curriculum development and ensure the impact of PSHE is clearly evidenced and celebrated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging PSHE lessons that support pupils’ personal development, resilience and integration into school life.
- Lead the development and review of the PSHE curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the school’s vision and meets the needs of pupils.
- Support whole-school initiatives, including assemblies, drop-down days, and enrichment activities that promote wellbeing and personal growth.
- Uphold safeguarding and child protection policies, ensuring all procedures are followed to the highest standard.
- Contribute to departmental and whole-school meetings, sharing insights and ideas that support pupil education and welfare.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and support colleagues through internal and external training opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Degree-level education
- UK QTS or equivalent
- Experience in delivering a curriculum related to PSHE
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection
Preferred
- Experience in leading curriculum development
- Experience with therapeutic or pastoral care approaches
- Experience in managing a team or providing line management support
- Knowledge of therapeutic education or mental health support strategies
