The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Psychology and Biology Teacher to join our highly regarded Science department. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire young learners and contribute to a department known for its academic excellence and commitment to enrichment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Psychology and Biology across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including A-Level Psychology and Biology.
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that promote critical thinking, independence, and a love of science.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, ideas, and best practice.
  • Support students in achieving outstanding academic results and personal growth.
  • Contribute to the co-curriculum and extracurricular activities.
  • Promote the values of diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism within the school community.
  • Provide pastoral support and safeguarding for students.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and staff development initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in Psychology and/or Biology, with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven ability to teach A-Level Psychology and Biology to highly able students.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching Psychology and Biology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student well-being and safeguarding.
  • Experience working in a school environment, preferably in the independent sector.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Science at both GCSE and A Level.
  • Demonstrable track record in student motivation and engagement.
  • Involvement in co-curricular or extracurricular activities.
  • Experience in promoting diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism in education.
