The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Psychology Teacher to join our team and deliver the Cambridge IGCSE Psychology curriculum. This role offers the opportunity to shape young minds and contribute to a vibrant, international learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons based on the Cambridge IGCSE Psychology curriculum.
- Teach key topics such as cognitive development, biological psychology, learning, abnormality, and research methods.
- Design schemes of work, lesson plans, classroom activities, and assessments.
- Prepare students thoroughly for IGCSE examinations, including both theory and application-based questions.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies to support diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, assessment, and attendance.
- Provide regular feedback to students and communicate with parents on academic progress.
- Encourage critical thinking, curiosity, and ethical awareness in psychological contexts.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a closely related field (Master’s preferred).
- Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years of experience teaching Psychology, preferably at the IGCSE level.
- Familiarity with Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) curriculum.
Preferred
- Proven track record of student achievement in external exams.
- Skills to enrich the co-curricular programme.
