The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and committed Psychology Teacher to join our dynamic Science Team. This role offers the opportunity to inspire and educate students at Key Stage 5 while also contributing to Science teaching at Key Stage 3. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving student achievement and fostering a culture of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Psychology to Key Stage 5 and Science to Key Stage 3 with a focus on student engagement and academic success.
  • Deliver high-quality, innovative lessons that align with the school’s commitment to excellence and inclusion.
  • Collaborate with the Science Department and support staff to ensure smooth and effective delivery of the curriculum.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and professional development initiatives.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and development.
  • Engage with students and parents to support their educational journey and personal growth.
  • Uphold the school’s values of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children at all times.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Experience in teaching Psychology and Science at Key Stage 3 and 5.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality education and raising student achievement.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a demanding workload.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school with a strong track record of student success.
  • Experience with early career teacher support or leadership within a department.
  • Familiarity with current educational research and pedagogical approaches.
  • Experience with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
