The Opportunity:
As a Psychotherapist, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex communication needs, autism, and emotional challenges. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Implement a holistic, therapeutic approach to support students in their daily lives.
- Prepare detailed clinical documentation, including reports and assessments.
- Collaborate with the onsite clinical team to develop and improve the clinical service provision.
- Provide training and support to staff and parents as needed.
- Adhere to professional and regulatory guidelines in all aspects of clinical work.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive student care.
- Maintain strong communication and collaboration with other professionals within the school setting.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Recognised professional qualification as Psychotherapist (Level 7 or above) or Level 6 degree with relevant therapeutic diploma and experience.
- Registered with a relevant professional body (e.g., HCPC, BACP, BABCP, UKCP).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in psychotherapy, preferably within an education setting.
- Experience working with neurodivergent individuals and those with complex needs.
- Ability to write clear and concise clinical reports.
- Experience working in multi-professional teams.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development relevant to the role.
Preferred
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a school environment.
- CBT-informed therapeutic approach.
- Experience in delivering training and support to staff and parents.
