The Opportunity:

As a PYP Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in leading the implementation of the IB Primary Years Programme. You will support teachers in creating meaningful, inquiry-based learning experiences and ensure the school meets IB standards and practices. This is an opportunity to shape curriculum development and inspire a school-wide commitment to the IB philosophy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of the IB Primary Years Programme in alignment with IB standards and practices.
  • Support teachers in designing and delivering inquiry-based, transdisciplinary learning units.
  • Facilitate collaborative planning and professional development for teaching staff.
  • Act as the liaison between the school and the IB organization.
  • Promote the IB philosophy across the school community through leadership and communication.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of PYP programmes and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure consistent application of IB learner profile attributes across all classrooms.
  • Coordinate with other departments to maintain a cohesive and integrated curriculum.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a PYP Coordinator role.
  • Strong knowledge of the IB Primary Years Programme and its standards and practices.
  • Experience in curriculum development and instructional leadership.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lead and support professional development initiatives.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in facilitating teacher training and workshops.
  • Background in educational leadership or school administration.
  • Familiarity with inquiry-based learning methodologies.
  • Experience in a multicultural or international school setting.
