The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed PYP Drama Teacher to join a dynamic Arts Team and inspire young learners through creative and engaging drama instruction. This role involves teaching drama across the primary school and contributing to the school’s vibrant arts program through the organization and staging of productions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging drama lessons aligned with the PYP curriculum and inquiry-based learning principles
  • Collaborate with the Arts Team to plan and execute school productions and events
  • Foster student creativity, confidence, and performance skills through interactive and inclusive teaching methods
  • Support the integration of drama into cross-curricular learning experiences
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance
  • Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives
  • Work closely with parents and colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the drama program and arts offerings

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant degree and teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching drama in a primary school setting
  • Strong organizational and collaborative skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Commitment to the IB and PYP frameworks

Preferred

  • Knowledge of PYP and inquiry-based teaching methods
  • Experience in organizing and staging school productions
  • Proficiency in Putonghua
  • Experience with bilingual education
