The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Qualified Teacher to join our dynamic team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with severe and multiple learning difficulties. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual student needs
  • Teach across a range of pedagogies, including those specific to autism and profound and multiple learning difficulties
  • Work flexibly across multiple departments, including Primary, Secondary, Further Education Centre (FEC), and Learning & Life Centre (LLC)
  • Support and manage a team of teaching assistants to ensure effective classroom delivery
  • Promote student motivation and achievement through innovative teaching methods
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practice
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of inclusive curricula
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s mission of promoting student independence and achievement

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher status
  • Experience teaching students with severe and multiple learning difficulties
  • Confidence in delivering lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Ability to work across different departments and pedagogical approaches
  • Commitment to student achievement and inclusion

Preferred

  • Experience in specialist SEN settings
  • Knowledge of autism spectrum condition (ASC) and PMLD teaching strategies
  • Experience in curriculum development and staff training
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Experience with the use of new technologies in education
