Join a dynamic team as a Receptionist Administrator and contribute to a welcoming and professional school environment. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth running of the school’s front desk and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a professional and welcoming service to all visitors, students, and parents.
  • Manage incoming calls, messages, and emails, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Monitor and vet access to the school site, including the pedestrian gate and car park.
  • Maintain a tidy and welcoming reception area and liaise with the Estates team.
  • Support administrative tasks, including managing the reception diary and preparing letters for parents.
  • Use the internal radio system to communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Ensure safeguarding compliance by signing in all visitors and monitoring their access.
  • Assist with reprographics and administrative support to the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Previous reception or administrative experience in a busy environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures in a school setting.

Preferred

  • Experience with school administration or reprographics support.
  • Familiarity with internal communication systems such as radio or walkie-talkie.
  • Experience working in a school or educational setting.
