The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Receptionist and Administrative Assistant to join our growing team and support the school office in delivering a high standard of service. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is committed to providing excellent customer service and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome visitors and manage the front desk with a professional and friendly approach.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, taking and redirecting messages as required.
  • Maintain the reception area, ensuring it is clean, secure, and presentable at all times.
  • Manage incoming mail and deliveries, logging and distributing items according to procedures.
  • Input and maintain student data on the school’s management information system (MIS).
  • Monitor and record student attendance, following up on absences as needed.
  • Prepare documents and reports for the Office Manager and other staff members.
  • Communicate with staff, students, and parents via phone, email, and in person.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • GCSE or equivalent level of education.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft or Google tools.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a school office environment.
  • Basic accounting skills or willingness to learn.
  • Experience with school management systems (MIS).
