The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Receptionist and Finance Assistant to join our supportive and forward-thinking team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth running of the school's administrative and financial operations, while contributing to the positive environment that supports student success and staff well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the school’s reception and administrative functions with professionalism and efficiency.
- Support the finance department by processing payments, managing accounts, and ensuring accurate financial records.
- Provide excellent customer service to visitors, students, and staff, maintaining a welcoming and professional environment.
- Coordinate and manage correspondence, including emails, letters, and other communication.
- Assist with the scheduling of meetings, events, and appointments across the school.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
- Maintain and update school databases and IT systems as required.
- Support the wider school community through administrative and financial assistance where needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- GCSE Grade C/4 (or better) in Maths and English or equivalent.
- Confident and professional telephone manner.
- Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and other relevant software.
- Strong ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with children and adults, along with a good sense of humour.
- Commitment to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in a similar administrative or finance role within an educational setting.
- Knowledge of school management systems and financial software.
- Experience with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
