The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Receptionist/Medical Officer to support the health and wellbeing of students and staff. This role requires a caring, organised, and proactive individual who can manage medical procedures, care plans, and emergency responses with confidence and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for students requiring medical assessment during the school day.
  • Assess and update Health Care Plans in collaboration with students, parents, and medical professionals.
  • Provide first aid to students and staff in emergencies.
  • Complete risk assessments and personal evacuation plans for students and ensure information is updated on the school system.
  • Ensure safe storage and management of medication, first aid kits, and defibrillators.
  • Allocate and prepare first aid kits for school trips and ensure care plans are available.
  • Prepare for and assist with medical screening and immunisation programmes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • First aid trained and confident in administering medical care.
  • Strong administrative and IT skills.
  • Ability to write, edit, and update health care plans.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a school environment.
  • Previous experience in a medical or healthcare role.
  • Knowledge of school health and safety procedures.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of £30,000 - £33,000 FTE.
