The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Receptionist/Medical Officer to support the health and wellbeing of students and staff. This role requires a caring, organised, and proactive individual who can manage medical procedures, care plans, and emergency responses with confidence and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for students requiring medical assessment during the school day.
- Assess and update Health Care Plans in collaboration with students, parents, and medical professionals.
- Provide first aid to students and staff in emergencies.
- Complete risk assessments and personal evacuation plans for students and ensure information is updated on the school system.
- Ensure safe storage and management of medication, first aid kits, and defibrillators.
- Allocate and prepare first aid kits for school trips and ensure care plans are available.
- Prepare for and assist with medical screening and immunisation programmes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- First aid trained and confident in administering medical care.
- Strong administrative and IT skills.
- Ability to write, edit, and update health care plans.
Preferred
- Experience working in a school environment.
- Previous experience in a medical or healthcare role.
- Knowledge of school health and safety procedures.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of £30,000 - £33,000 FTE.
