Registered Nurse needed for maternity cover at a leading UK school. Provide high-quality nursing care to pupils and staff.

The Opportunity:
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide essential medical care to pupils and staff within the Health Centre. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about healthcare and committed to supporting student wellbeing in a dynamic and caring environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to pupils and staff in line with NMC standards.
- Act as the first point of contact for medical issues beyond routine over-the-counter remedies.
- Deliver nurse-led clinics, sports day emergency care, and triage services.
- Administer routine and travel vaccinations and provide health advice and guidance.
- Support GP surgeries for boarders and coordinate with external physiotherapy services.
- Work on a rota basis, including overnights on standby and weekends.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols and school policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Valid NMC registration PIN or HCPC registration with relevant nursing or paramedic qualification.
- Experience in providing healthcare in a school or similar setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overnights.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Preferred
- Experience working in a boarding school or similar environment.
- Knowledge of child and adolescent health issues.
- Experience with emergency care and triage procedures.
- Previous experience in nurse-led clinics or health education programs.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary of £24,129 actual (£39,386 FTE).
- Additional £20.00 per cover period on standby.
- Term-time working with 33 weeks of work and 37.47 weeks of pay, including holiday entitlement.
