The Opportunity:
A Relief Minibus Driver is required to support the school’s transport needs during term time. This role involves collecting and dropping off students, covering planned absences, and potentially assisting with airport runs and co-curricular activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient transport of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and drop off pupils safely on school runs
- Cover planned absences and staff sickness on short notice
- Assist with occasional educational visits and co-curricular activities
- Communicate effectively with pupils, staff, and parents
- Adhere to all safety and transport regulations
- Be available for both morning and evening shifts as required
- Support the school’s Floreat programme and other initiatives
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Hold a valid D1 driving licence
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and late afternoons
- Reliable and committed to providing safe transport for students
- Experience in driving minibus or similar vehicle
Preferred
- Experience in working with children in an educational setting
- Previous experience as a minibus driver
- Familiarity with the Kent Minibus test
- Knowledge of educational visits and co-curricular activities
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rate of £16.24
