Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Religious Education and PSHE lessons across all key stages
  • Plan and implement engaging and challenging curricula aligned with AQA specifications
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the Social Sciences faculty to enhance teaching and learning
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the curriculum
  • Support students in developing critical thinking, ethical understanding, and personal growth
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Religious Education
  • Strong knowledge of RE at KS4 and the AQA curriculum
  • Experience teaching across the full age and ability range
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Commitment to student success and personal development

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching PSHE
  • Familiarity with inclusive teaching strategies
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support
  • Experience with continuous professional development
