As a Religious Education Subject Leader, you will play a key role in shaping the curriculum and inspiring students to develop a deeper understanding of religious and non-religious worldviews. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Religious Education curriculum to ensure it meets the needs of a diverse student body.
- Drive the delivery of high-quality lessons that foster spiritual, moral, and social awareness.
- Support and challenge students to reach their full potential and achieve their life goals.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain and improve standards of teaching and learning.
- Ensure safeguarding and support systems are in place to maximise student outcomes.
- Evaluate and enhance the impact of the curriculum on student progress and achievement.
- Promote a culture of respect, responsibility, and kindness across the school community.
- Encourage and develop the professional growth of teaching staff within the subject area.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Religious Education.
- Proven leadership experience in a school or educational setting.
- Strong understanding of curriculum development and delivery.
- Ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership and staff teams.
- Commitment to safeguarding and student support.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and implementing a broad and balanced curriculum.
- Familiarity with the LIFE curriculum framework.
- Experience in leading and managing a department or team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
