The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join a dynamic department with strong uptake at GCSE and A-Level. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a comprehensive and inclusive education programme that supports student success and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Religious Education lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Teach Philosophy and Ethics at KS5, where applicable.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the wider school education programme.
  • Support students in achieving excellent academic outcomes, with a focus on GCSE and A-Level success.
  • Participate in departmental and school-wide continuing professional development initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive and inclusive school environment.
  • Implement the school’s robust behaviour and relationships policy effectively.
  • Engage in pastoral and extra-curricular activities that enhance student experience and development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Religious Education.
  • Ability to teach Religious Studies at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality education and student outcomes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Philosophy and Ethics at KS5.
  • Background in working within a comprehensive school setting.
  • Experience in contributing to a broad and inclusive curriculum.
  • Experience in supporting student well-being and behaviour management.
