The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality RE lessons that inspire and engage students
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student progress
Develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources
Encourage independent and collaborative learning among students
Support the spiritual and moral development of students in line with the school’s values
Work closely with colleagues to ensure consistency and excellence in RE teaching
Monitor and assess student progress regularly
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the RE curriculum

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification
Strong knowledge of Religious Education and its place in the curriculum
Experience in teaching RE at the secondary level
Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding
Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to departmental goals

Preferred

Experience in a Catholic school or faith-based educational setting
Previous leadership or mentoring experience
Experience with curriculum development and resource creation
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
