Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality RE lessons that inspire and engage students
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student progress
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources
  • Encourage independent and collaborative learning among students
  • Support the spiritual and moral development of students in line with the school’s values
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure consistency and excellence in RE teaching
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the RE curriculum

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification
  • Strong knowledge of Religious Education and its place in the curriculum
  • Experience in teaching RE at the secondary level
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to departmental goals

Preferred

  • Experience in a Catholic school or faith-based educational setting
  • Previous leadership or mentoring experience
  • Experience with curriculum development and resource creation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
