The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Religious Studies Teacher to join a dynamic team and make a meaningful impact on student learning and achievement. This role offers the chance to contribute to a successful department and support students across KS3 and KS4.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Religious Studies lessons across all ability groups in Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Develop and implement engaging and challenging curriculum content that promotes critical thinking and understanding.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through effective teaching, assessment, and feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Humanities Department to enhance learning opportunities and share best practices.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
- Maintain accurate records and report on student progress and achievement.
- Engage with parents and the wider school community to support student learning and well-being.
- Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and high standards within the classroom and school.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Religious Studies or a related subject.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Experience of teaching across a range of abilities and key stages.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and collaboration with colleagues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
- Experience with teaching English as a Second Language or working with diverse student populations.
- Experience in pastoral care or student support roles.
- Familiarity with assessment and tracking systems.
