The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Religious Studies Teacher to join a dynamic team and make a meaningful impact on student learning and achievement. This role offers the chance to contribute to a successful department and support students across KS3 and KS4.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Religious Studies lessons across all ability groups in Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Develop and implement engaging and challenging curriculum content that promotes critical thinking and understanding.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through effective teaching, assessment, and feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Humanities Department to enhance learning opportunities and share best practices.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
  • Maintain accurate records and report on student progress and achievement.
  • Engage with parents and the wider school community to support student learning and well-being.
  • Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and high standards within the classroom and school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Religious Studies or a related subject.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Experience of teaching across a range of abilities and key stages.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and collaboration with colleagues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language or working with diverse student populations.
  • Experience in pastoral care or student support roles.
  • Familiarity with assessment and tracking systems.
