The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Religious Studies Teacher to join a committed team delivering a rigorous and engaging curriculum from Year 7 to Year 13. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire and challenge students across all key stages.
- Promote and uphold the Catholic faith through the curriculum and school life.
- Support the development of students’ spiritual and moral growth alongside academic success.
- Collaborate with the Religious Studies department to enhance teaching and learning practices.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continued improvement.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives.
- Engage with parents and the wider community to promote the school’s mission and values.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of the Religious Studies curriculum.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Religious Studies or a related subject.
- Commitment to Catholic education and the promotion of the Catholic faith.
- Strong classroom management and teaching skills with a proven record of successful student outcomes.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
- Experience in delivering a well-structured and engaging curriculum.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Religious Studies at both GCSE and A Level.
- Familiarity with the Catholic faith and its integration into the curriculum.
- Experience with pastoral care and supporting students’ spiritual development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
