The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Religious Studies Teacher to join a committed team delivering a rigorous and engaging curriculum from Year 7 to Year 13. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire and challenge students across all key stages.
  • Promote and uphold the Catholic faith through the curriculum and school life.
  • Support the development of students’ spiritual and moral growth alongside academic success.
  • Collaborate with the Religious Studies department to enhance teaching and learning practices.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continued improvement.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives.
  • Engage with parents and the wider community to promote the school’s mission and values.
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of the Religious Studies curriculum.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Religious Studies or a related subject.
  • Commitment to Catholic education and the promotion of the Catholic faith.
  • Strong classroom management and teaching skills with a proven record of successful student outcomes.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Experience in delivering a well-structured and engaging curriculum.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Religious Studies at both GCSE and A Level.
  • Familiarity with the Catholic faith and its integration into the curriculum.
  • Experience with pastoral care and supporting students’ spiritual development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
