The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Religious Studies Teacher to join our expanding Humanities team and help shape a dynamic and impactful curriculum. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in students' lives by delivering engaging and intellectually stimulating lessons that promote critical thinking and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Religious Studies lessons that are engaging, challenging, and relevant to students' lives.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that supports the school’s mission and enhances student learning outcomes.
- Lead and mentor other members of the Religious Studies department, contributing to the growth and development of the subject area.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, discussion, and critical thinking.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to integrate Religious Studies into a broader STEM-focused educational experience.
- Support students in developing the skills and knowledge needed for success at GCSE and A-Level.
- Participate in the school’s wider professional development and coaching programs to ensure continuous growth and improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Religious Studies at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Experience teaching A-Level Religious Studies.
- Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
- Commitment to student-centered learning and the development of critical thinking.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the school’s vision.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development or leadership within a school setting.
- Familiarity with STEM integration in humanities subjects.
- Experience with pastoral care and student support.
- Knowledge of inclusive education practices and diverse learning needs.
