Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Religious Studies lessons across all key stages, including GCSE and A Level.

  • Support students in developing their understanding of different religions and worldviews.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain and enhance the school’s strong academic reputation.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and professional development activities.
  • Provide pastoral care and guidance to students where appropriate.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
  • Engage with parents and the wider school community to promote the importance of Religious Studies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Religious Studies.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and challenging lessons.
  • Experience working with students of all abilities and backgrounds.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for teaching.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching GCSE and A Level Religious Studies.
  • Familiarity with a range of religious traditions, including Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, and Sikhism.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
