The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Religious Studies Teacher to join our Humanities faculty. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Religious Studies, promoting critical thinking and student achievement.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of an ambitious and inclusive curriculum across Humanities.
  • Support the academic and pastoral development of students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching and learning.
  • Participate in professional development and school initiatives, including extra-curricular activities.
  • Uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
  • Maintain accurate records and assess student progress in line with school policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Religious Studies or a related subject.
  • Commitment to raising student achievement and fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take ownership of student progress.
  • Experience in safeguarding and promoting student welfare.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching other Humanities subjects.
  • Background in extra-curricular leadership or involvement.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation.
  • Familiarity with assessment and tracking systems.
