Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Religious Studies lessons tailored to the needs of students across different age groups.
- Prepare and develop teaching materials, lesson plans, and pastoral arrangements that support student learning and achievement.
- Monitor and track student progress, ensuring that all pupils meet their full potential and achieve high standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality curriculum across the school.
- Support students with special educational needs, where appropriate, by contributing to the planning and implementation of SEN Support Arrangements.
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages respect, kindness, and aspiration.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the ongoing improvement of teaching and learning practices.
- Work closely with the school community to support the broader educational and pastoral goals of the institution.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Demonstrated awareness, understanding, and commitment to child protection and safeguarding
- Evidence of effective continuous professional development
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Religious Studies at secondary level
- Experience in working with students with special educational needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in curriculum development and delivery
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school culture
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary on the Teachers’ Main - Upper Pay Scale (£34,398 - £46,839 per annum)
