Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Religious Studies lessons tailored to the needs of students across different age groups.
  • Prepare and develop teaching materials, lesson plans, and pastoral arrangements that support student learning and achievement.
  • Monitor and track student progress, ensuring that all pupils meet their full potential and achieve high standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality curriculum across the school.
  • Support students with special educational needs, where appropriate, by contributing to the planning and implementation of SEN Support Arrangements.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages respect, kindness, and aspiration.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the ongoing improvement of teaching and learning practices.
  • Work closely with the school community to support the broader educational and pastoral goals of the institution.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Demonstrated awareness, understanding, and commitment to child protection and safeguarding
  • Evidence of effective continuous professional development

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Religious Studies at secondary level
  • Experience in working with students with special educational needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in curriculum development and delivery
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school culture
