The Opportunity:

As a Residential Boarding Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the House Parent and contributing to the smooth running of the boarding house. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students while being part of a dynamic and supportive community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the House Parent in managing the boarding house and ensuring a positive living environment for students.
  • Accompany students to various locations outside the school campus and ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Lead and supervise activities as qualified and required, including extracurricular, outdoor, and sporting events.
  • Assist in enforcing house rules and procedures during meals, study times, and bedtime routines.
  • Provide pastoral care by offering support, guidance, and encouragement to students in a compassionate and professional manner.
  • Help students develop good personal habits, including time management, hygiene, and organization of personal space.
  • Report any pastoral, academic, or disciplinary concerns to the House Parent in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a high standard of professional conduct and uphold the school’s values and mission at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Fluent spoken and written English.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Current and clean Driver’s license.
  • Clean criminal records check.
  • Undergraduate Degree.

Preferred

  • Experience in working with young people in a residential or educational setting.
  • Experience with extracurricular, outdoor, or sporting activities.
  • Experience with music or arts education.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and development.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive annual salary of approximately EUR 29,000.00.

  • Food and board during the term of the contract (excluding school holidays).
