The Opportunity:
As a Riding Instructor, you will play a key role in inspiring and educating students from Years 1 to 8 in horsemanship and competitive riding. You will contribute to the school’s mission of providing a unique and enriching learning experience for every child.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach riding skills to students across all year groups, including pre-prep pupils.
- Prepare students for riding competitions and develop their overall horsemanship.
- Deliver engaging and structured lessons that encourage enthusiasm and confidence in riding.
- Support the school’s extra-curricular and boarding activities, including sports and events.
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all students.
- Communicate regularly with the Head and keep them informed of student progress and school affairs.
- Contribute to the development of the riding program and ensure alignment with the school’s educational vision.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience as a riding instructor, preferably with children.
- Strong knowledge of horsemanship and competitive riding.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and contribute to a busy boarding school environment.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
Preferred
- Experience working in a British or international school setting.
- Familiarity with the ISEB Common Entrance examinations.
- Coaching experience in a variety of sports.
- Previous involvement in extra-curricular activities and school events.
