The Opportunity:
As a Rowing Coach, you will lead and inspire students of all ages and abilities, helping them develop their rowing skills, fitness, and teamwork. This role is ideal for someone passionate about coaching and committed to nurturing talent in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality coaching to students in sculling and sweeping rowing techniques.
- Develop and implement training programs tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture among students.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of students during all training and competition activities.
- Collaborate with other coaches and school staff to support student development.
- Maintain and update training plans based on student progress and performance.
- Organize and lead rowing sessions, including on-water and dry-land training.
- Promote the school’s sporting values and ethos through coaching and mentorship.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- British Rowing Coaching qualification.
- RYA Powerboat qualification.
- Proven experience in both sculling and sweeping rowing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and afternoons.
Preferred
- Experience working with students in a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of youth development and sports psychology.
- Experience in coaching at competitive levels.
- Leadership experience in a team-based environment.
