The Opportunity:

As a Safeguarding and Pastoral Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the emotional and social wellbeing of students, while promoting a culture of safety and support. This position is ideal for someone passionate about safeguarding and pastoral care, with a strong commitment to student development and welfare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to promote student wellbeing and emotional health.
  • Provide support and guidance to students, staff, and families in safeguarding matters.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and internal teams to ensure a safe and inclusive school environment.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of pastoral support programs.
  • Deliver training and professional development on safeguarding and pastoral care.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to student welfare and safeguarding concerns.
  • Support the school’s commitment to inclusion and respect through proactive engagement with students and staff.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to ensure alignment with the school’s values and safeguarding policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a safeguarding and pastoral support role within an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of child protection policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and external agencies.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience in a primary school setting.
  • Knowledge of child development and mental health support.
  • Experience in designing and delivering pastoral care programs.
  • Familiarity with the Bridge Academy Trust values and mission.
