As a Safeguarding and Pastoral Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the emotional and social wellbeing of students, while promoting a culture of safety and support. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to promote student wellbeing and emotional health.
- Provide support and guidance to students, staff, and families in safeguarding matters.
- Collaborate with external agencies and internal teams to ensure a safe and inclusive school environment.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of pastoral support programs.
- Deliver training and professional development on safeguarding and pastoral care.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to student welfare and safeguarding concerns.
- Support the school’s commitment to inclusion and respect through proactive engagement with students and staff.
- Work closely with senior leadership to ensure alignment with the school’s values and safeguarding policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a safeguarding and pastoral support role within an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of child protection policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and external agencies.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Preferred
- Experience in a primary school setting.
- Knowledge of child development and mental health support.
- Experience in designing and delivering pastoral care programs.
- Familiarity with the Bridge Academy Trust values and mission.
